Itty Bitty Beauty Swap Show Off!

Monday, Monday // Late Weekend Wrap-Up

This has been such a busy week.  I'm going to do a quick update on a few defining moments, starting with the most random.  My best friend, Rich, and I randomly worked the VIP Check-In/Pre-Show at a Tim Mcgraw (definitely not my type of tunes) in Pennsylvania and ya know what?  It was a LOT of fun.

 Rich decided to be festive.

I've been to and worked a LOT of shows during my life and I have NEVER seen this amount of people come for just one band. It was crazy, not to mention a gold mine for people watching.

My garden has finally taken off.  I think our cool days are behind us. Unfortunately, I lost a lot of plants to frost but I've got a lot of seeds germinating in paper towels and ziplocs, hopefully they grow quickly!

 Peppers & Squash

These get about 10.5-11 hours of sunlight a day. The top box has a mix of Hot Peppers, Okra, and Kaleidoscope Carrots, the bottom box has squash and tomatoes.

 Tomatoes & various Bush Beans

In my front yard, in planters, I have Rosemary, Sweet Basil, Cilantro, and Green Leaf Lettuce.  I'm also going to plant a Dragon Tongue bean bush in my flower bed.  I really cannot wait for my edible landscape.

Mother's Day Wrap-Up

How was everyone's Sunday? Mine was great! A little slow and a little non-eventful, but that's how I like it. It was my 3rd Mother's Day and it was definitely a good one :) I got a pretty ballin' gift...

 

That's right. Zeppelin III. I found this album years ago (2007) but there were 3 and only 1 of another album I wanted along with a few others I was getting. I decided to come back for it a few days later and when I did they were all gone. I've been searching ever since for one that matched the quality of the original 3 I had found and nothing was ever good enough. However, Joe found one in MINT CONDITION and presented it to me yesterday. OH EM GEE (that's how you know I'm excited) I LOVE IT!

Add some candles, Joe & Liv,  and flowers from my mom and you have the perfect day❤

I hope all the mom's out there had a wonderful weekend :)

Beauty Swap

Today was going to be a gardening day but the random rain stopped me from doing it.  I will give you one my fun gardening facts, though :)

Before planting Okra seeds soak them in milk overnight.  A lot of people germinate seeds in a damp paper towel but I am telling you, okra seeds in a cup of milk for one night does wonders.  It softens the seeds just right and makes them grow pretty quickly.  Where did I stumble upon this little trick you ask? Well, my dad and every single deep south gardener I've ever met.  I always go with the southern way of doing things; it's usually right.
