Weekend Wrap-Up

June was probably not the right month to make a daily blogging promise.  I spent this whole week doing last minute party planning and while it wasn't good for the blog it was good for the party, which was a success :)

The party was on Saturday, but her birthday was technically on Sunday, Father's Day.  Needless to say, Joe and Olivia had an extra special weekend.  Since this week was so hectic we decided to spend our Sunday relaxing at home, eating cake, and playing with all of Liv's new toys.

This weekend was great, I cherished every moment.  Joe leaves next Sunday for Texas; he's going to be working there for 3 weeks.. I'm going to miss him so much  Every time I think about it I tear up, hopefully I can find a lot of fun activities for Olivia and I to help time go by quickly.
What will I do without my goofy JoeJoe?

Mother's Day Wrap-Up

How was everyone's Sunday? Mine was great! A little slow and a little non-eventful, but that's how I like it. It was my 3rd Mother's Day and it was definitely a good one :) I got a pretty ballin' gift...
That's right. Zeppelin III. I found this album years ago (2007) but there were 3 and only 1 of another album I wanted along with a few others I was getting. I decided to come back for it a few days later and when I did they were all gone. I've been searching ever since for one that matched the quality of the original 3 I had found and nothing was ever good enough. However, Joe found one in MINT CONDITION and presented it to me yesterday. OH EM GEE (that's how you know I'm excited) I LOVE IT!
Add some candles, Joe & Liv,  and flowers from my mom and you have the perfect day
I hope all the mom's out there had a wonderful weekend :)

I Love You Always

I am so sorry for my absence these past 2 weeks.
I had to rush to Waverly, Georgia to spend some much needed time with my grandmother, or Megaw as we all call her (I was the first grandchild and instead of grandma I said Megaw).  She has been fighting bone and stomach cancer and is nearing the end.  I feel blessed to have made it in time and I wouldn't change the time I just spent with her or all of the years I was able to love her and be loved by her.  I'm beginning to tear up as I type this.. I am going to miss her so so much.  She is 68 years young, her birthday is on May 1st.
She sent me home with a lot of boxes of crystal, old photos, her high school yearbooks, things my great grandparents had given her, and things I had given her.  Growing up her home was always filled with art, not the kind you can buy from a store but the kind that I, my sister, and my cousins drew.  She saved every single picture we made for her, even little scribbles we drew when we were toddlers.  She saved everything and no one knew that until this week.  Megaw loved us all so much; I hope that I can love as much as she has and does.
I love you always.
